Always pushing forward, always aiming higher: In more than 20 years of existence, EPICA have never shied away from challenges, weathering every storm and breaking genre boundaries. Since their formation in 2002 and their quick ascension to one of today’s most successful symphonic metal bands, with trailblazing masterpieces like “Consign to Oblivion” or “The Divine Conspiracy”, the Dutch metal titans only knew one way: Up. Especially with their three releases “The Quantum Enigma”, “The Holographic Principle” and 2021’s “Ωmega”, Epica became rightful monarchs of a genre they themselves helped made become a global phenomenon.
With their signature brand of six committed artists, the band has played over 1,000 shows across all continents, arena shows in front of 5.000 people per day and performed on the most important festivals worldwide, always evolving their live performance. By now, they look back on nearly 1 million albums sold worldwide, 300 million combined streams on all digital platforms, yet looking back is not in the sextet’s Nature, and constantly striving to reinvent themselves is the only option for one of today’s most passionate and visionary metal bands.
